This is not the Greatest Game in the World, no. This is just a tribute.

Princess coloring book

This one started out as a random google image search for coloring book pages. I'm not quite sure which artist to credit for the original drawing. Go here for the link to the image.

I was actually studying this classic Ingres painting as inspiration for the color palette. And yes, I do realize how offensive this combination must be to all the art purists out there. Ah well.

Sketch Infectus

It's been a while, I've been working lately on some stuff I can't post quite yet. In the meantime I would admonish you to check out the incredibly talented Joe Bluhm's new sketchbook. It's chock full of some great drawings and quotes from a number of artists on the benefits of keeping a sketchbook.

Also on the inspirational quote front, I really like some of the quotes Stephen Silver has put up in this Facebook group. Always a good read.

Junius Brutus Booth

Quick head study of Junius Brutus Booth, he was John Wilkes Booths' pappy. Apparently he wasn't a big fan of the guv'mint either and sent a threatening letter to then President Andrew Jackson back in the day.
Favorite line from the Wiki page:
"It was often difficult for his friends to tell whether he was drunk or crazy."

Skeletor Pondering

I guess this could be considered fan-art if I was a fan of Masters of the Universe. But I'm not. I am a fan of skulls, however. Be sure to check out Adam's and Sam's for some good stuff.

Sketchbook auction for Primary Children's Medical Center

Randall Sly put together a fantastic sketchbook of a bunch of different artists during Comic-Con this year and is auctioning it off on ebay.
All of the proceeds will go to Primary Children's Medical Center.
Check out the Character Design blog for more in-depth information, and the story behind this auction.

Please spread the word if you get a chance.

Thanks!!!
