This was part of an "art challenge"(encouraging non-work related art) The topic was--redesign or "re-imagine" one of your favorite video games. Hence, the great plumber, Mario.
I missed the art challenge meeting for this guy. He is awesome. Somehow you managed to balance his grotesquery with the happy floating stars and mushrooms. Good jobby!
I was at the art challenge meeting, but I didn't contribute anything. So for me it wasn't as much an "art review" as it was a really long lunch break. I love this one! You've made Mario even more "classic" than he already was. Nice stuff.
I wasn't the only one who got older and bigger I guess- cept he kinda grew in a different direction :) This is so great!!! I love the colours you use in your art. keep up the great works.
