Is this guy barbecuing himself? His own art is burning him up alive. I guess the spatula is so he can turn himself over and the pencil is there to sketch his charred body when he's done. That faux wood panel works great. Love the chef's hat. The short upper arm, long forearm and the big fat sausage fingered hand make it perfect.
Oh wait, he's looking a bit to hungrily at me. I know the title of this story -- To Serve Illustrator. I may read too much into things.
I can hear sizzling of the burgers on this one ,the heat is almost unbearable I will flop this weekend something on my BBQ in honor of this painting.It is always real pleasure to see your paintings. Cheers, Goran
