Wow, I've missed a couple fantastic posts. I love the blue light in this one... and his mustache. You always do great backgrounds that compliment your subject too.
Hey Ryan, very nice robotic beast! I like the watery, rusty light. I made some robots and creatures on figurenbrut.blogspot.com, be my guest. The other avalanche robots are also great. Robots just seem to ask for being printed on with numbers and letters. See You soon, all the best,
Ryan I am so glad you post so many rad paintings. Its easy to see how you can easily make a good living doing this. I would hate for you to have to stop and dream about making money as a galery artist like some artist around Utah do.
Nice job, dude. Put this in a series with Rusty McGee.

ReplyDeletemy goal is to paint like you. Man, amazing stuff.
ReplyDeleteDamnet I wish people like you would drop the stupid digital crap and paint for a living. your to good to be doing digital.
ReplyDeletedo you ever do oils?
I love the muted colors.
I hate that there isn't any strong reflected blue light on the left arm that would bring the composition back in for a visual return.
I hate the fact that there is absolutely no three dimensional textural value because your working on a computer but whatever.
I would also recomend putting darker blacks in the shadows. to strong of an enphasis on the blue lights.
anyway, not bad overall and I love your style, just calling it as it is.
pick up a freaken paintbrush
great stuff Ryan. Love your lighting and colour sense!
