Nice one! Great textures! That's a lot of money for a piece of cardboard. I like stories like this, sort of like the antique road show. Where someone buys something for a quarter and it ends up being worth $500,000.
This looks great, Ryan. I love the colors and textures and soft edges. Your blog's the best.
I wish you had posted this a couple of weeks ago... before our garage sale. My Honus Wagner card sold for what had seemed to be an impressive two dollars and thirty-five cents. Now because of this post I'm on suicide watch.
Great portrait. That cracked paint texture is working well here to give it an aged, old baseball card, look.
I love your previous post of the robot from Meet the Robinsons. It's nice to see the inner working gears -- funny too. I love drawing robots. It's fun to make them for specialty purposes. I'll have to do a robot themed post one day soon.
Excellent as usual Ryan, I was about saying the same than Seb Gallego!! ahah!! unfortunately, It could not be me... this portrait is stunning! you rule more than ever, Ryan!
It has been a while since you posted the Hessian. And here is another german emigrant. But I never heard of him before! Quite a chunk. Beautiful portrait!

Wow. Both to the painting and the price of the baseball card.
I always wanted that card when I was a kid. Honus Wagner kind of looks like a young version of my grandpa. Nice image dood.
Great job man -
I really like how you pushed the asymetrical mouth. And that haircut.....man - that's some haircut.

I love your characters and the way you put down color. Your work is always more than inspirational.

Wow, excellent. The subtle cools in the hair are awesome and I love the vacant "I have to sit really still for a long time." expression, Cheers.
Nicely done! Thoroughly enjoy your blog. Keep it up.
