Princess coloring book

This one started out as a random google image search for coloring book pages. I'm not quite sure which artist to credit for the original drawing. Go here for the link to the image.


I was actually studying this classic Ingres painting as inspiration for the color palette. And yes, I do realize how offensive this combination must be to all the art purists out there. Ah well.

I love your work, and this paintover adds a new dimension to the original. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the hair...as you tried to keep the original drawing, those dark lines add too much contrast compared with the "clean" face (lovely!!!).
In any case, superb...
